Mayur Desai
Managing Director
Mayur is a Managing Director helping lead strategy and investments for the Tech Opportunities team.
Mayur joined Charlesbank in 2009 and completed the two-year Associate program. After business school, he moved to San Francisco, where he was a Senior Associate at Vector Capital. He returned to the firm in 2015 and joined the Tech Opportunities team in 2019. Earlier in his career, he worked at Audax Group and Bain & Company.

Personal
Mayur grew up in sunny South Florida, but somewhere over the last two decades in Boston, he gave up and fully adopted Boston sports teams, skiing badly on ice and drinking large iced Dunkins in January. When Mayur isn’t watching his kids at baseball games, swim practice or dance competitions, he enjoys reading fiction, hiking, running slowly and other outdoor activities. He serves on the Advisory Board of YouthConnect, an advocacy and intervention program for at-risk youth that works in partnership with the Boston Police Department and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston.
