Rafael Baron
Head of Business Development
Rafa Baron is the Head of Business Development at Charlesbank, where he spearheads the origination strategy for Tech Opportunities, helping identify and qualify new investments, foster relationships with intermediaries and technology companies, and assist the technology portfolio on its add-on strategies.
Rafa joined Charlesbank in 2024 from OpenGate Capital, where he founded and led Business Development for their software investing practice. Previously, he worked as a Business Development Associate at Marlin Equity Partners and as a Consultant at Capgemini North America.

Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Rafa currently resides in Los Angeles. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, grilling Brazilian “picanha" and skiing.
