Michael leads Charlesbank’s Legal & Compliance team, managing legal and regulatory risks and governance matters.
Michael is a seasoned legal executive with over 20 years of experience advising private fund managers. He spent the last decade at Bain Capital, most recently serving as Partner & Global Capital Markets General Counsel, as well as General Counsel for the Special Situations, Credit, Public Equity, Insurance and Partnership Strategies businesses. Previously, he was the Chief Legal Officer & Chief Compliance Officer at Tiger Management, overseeing legal and compliance matters across asset classes.

Michael lives in Belmont, MA, with his wife, two teenage daughters and dog. When he’s not shuttling kids between music lessons and sports practices or walking his middle-aged Boxer, Michael enjoys all foods, each New England sports franchise, any outdoor activity besides road biking, a good non-fiction book and a great Scotch.
