Brad Shelsy
Advisory Director
Brad joined Charlesbank’s Technology Opportunities team as an Advisory Director in Healthcare IT in 2024. In his role, he helps source and evaluate new investment opportunities and works with management teams in the healthcare IT subsector.
A seasoned corporate and business development executive, Brad has 25 years’ experience in the technology and healthcare industries, most recently as the Senior Vice President for Corporate & Business Development at NextGen Healthcare, where he led the M&A and BD teams. Prior to that he held executive positions at the Mayo Clinic as the Vice Chair of Corporate Development and at athenahealth, where he led the strategy, corporate development and transformation functions. Early in his career he spent over a decade at EMC Corporation (now Dell Technologies), helping drive strategy and business development activity for the emerging technologies division.

A native of Massachusetts, Brad has two children and lives in Hingham, MA. Outside of work, he enjoys attending his kids’ sporting events, being outdoors, live music and playing guitar.

They are independent advisors who provide consulting services to Charlesbank, its funds and its portfolio companies at varying levels of engagement.
